Building a Hub for Pet Health Information
I served as a technical consultant for a startup developing an innovative platform that streamlines verification of pet health and vaccination information across the veterinary ecosystem. The platform primarily focuses on dogs, cats, and equines, helping pet service providers easily access critical health information.
Cross-Team Coordination and Leadership
Across multiple engagement phases, I had the unique position of being the consistent technical presence while working with several rotating teams. This continuity provided me with valuable context that others lacked, creating natural opportunities to exercise my leadership skills. I helped maintain project momentum by bridging knowledge gaps between teams and ensuring a coherent development trajectory.
Technical Integration Partnerships
A significant portion of my role involved participating in client-facing calls with third-party partners to architect API integrations. These discussions required translating business requirements into technical specifications while balancing the limitations and capabilities of external systems. I worked closely with stakeholders to ensure our integration approach met both immediate needs and long-term scalability goals.
Design Implementation and Proof of Concepts
Working from Figma designs, I implemented several key interface components that maintained both visual fidelity and performance requirements. I also developed multiple proof-of-concept implementations to validate technical approaches before committing to full production development. Notably, several of these initial implementations have remained unchanged in production, demonstrating the effectiveness of the original architecture decisions.

Impact
The platform has significantly improved operational efficiency for veterinary clinics by reducing administrative burdens. Instead of fielding constant phone calls for vaccination records and health information, clinics now manage these requests digitally through the platform. This shift not only saves staff time but also improves the experience for pet owners and service providers who need quick access to verified health information.
