Cross-functional Collaboration for Enterprise Solutions

Working as a developer on the Textiles Factory ERP system involved extensive collaboration with multiple teams across the organization. I regularly engaged with production managers, inventory specialists, and finance departments to gather comprehensive requirements that accurately reflected their workflow needs.

Technical Implementation

Our technical stack centered around Silverlight for the front-end, paired with a robust SQL Server database backend. I developed and maintained WCF services that handled the business logic and data processing, ensuring seamless communication between the application layers. The UI was crafted using XAML, allowing us to create intuitive interfaces that simplified complex manufacturing processes for end-users.

Development Process & Support

Our team followed SCRUM methodologies with two-week sprints, daily stand-ups, and regular retrospectives to maintain development momentum. Beyond feature implementation, I was responsible for production support activities, troubleshooting critical issues that impacted manufacturing operations. This balanced approach of new development and maintenance work provided a holistic understanding of the system and its importance to daily business operations.

Professional Growth

This position marked my first professional role in software development, becoming the foundation of my career. The relationships formed here proved invaluable - many colleagues became close friends who have significantly influenced both my personal growth and professional trajectory over the years. Their mentorship and collaboration shaped my approach to software development and teamwork in lasting ways.
